Here you can share your story, find others like yourself, what they are doing to cope with their pain. Many answers that you will find are given by the people that have to live with pain every day of their life.

I invite you to join us (those that are suffering) in helping each other with the many problems that we have to deal with in our daily battle against Chronic Pain. Remember that someone may just be getting started on the long road ahead. Those of us that have dealt with it for years can share some important information that we have learned along the way.

Please sign my guestbook with any comments or reactions you have to my site. You can also contact me privately. I love to get mail!

I'd like to thank God for putting these people in my life:

  • My husband Talton Graves.  I thank God each day for putting him in my life.  He has always been there  through the god and bad times.  I love you so much.
  • My Family:  My mother & Father.....Lou & Barbara Wirt.
  • My brother Jack and his wife Lisa, and their cats.
  • My sister in-laws:  Diane Barger, Nancy Jane, and their children
  • Missy, Carol, and their husbands, and children.
  • My sister of the heart Sharon Lowery.  God could not have given me better sister.  She is closer to me then if she was my flesh and blood.  I thank you for all the years we've gotten through together.  She had a brain tumor and they removed most of it.  Now she lives with Migraines every day of her life.

These are the Doctors that turned my life around.  With out them I do not think that I be here today:

  • Dr. Daniel Brookoff at the Methodist Pain Clinic at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, TN.....Phone: 901-726-0999.
  • Dr. Claudio Feler at the Symmes Murphy Clinic in Memphis, TN. Phone:  901-522-5300.
  • Becky Powel is Dr. Felers nurse and also a true friend.

To my babies.  They give me love and are always there when I'm feeling bad.  They are not children but Siamese Cats.

  • They are Sheena, Darby, and Zukay.  Since I can't have any.  They are always at my side.  I love them like they were my own. They are so intelligent..... they fetch small balls, small and medium beanie babies, open cabnets, and most importantly they seem to understand when I'm having a bad day.  When this happens they will not leave my side.  It is so comforting to have them cuddle up with me  in bed.  I thank God for giving me my babies ( Siamese Cats ).
  • I thank God for sending new friends from the web-site.  You do not know how much it means to me to have friends that understand what I have to live with each day.
  • May God watch over each and every one of you.  I thank them from the bottom of heart.

This site is here for you to see what others are doing to manage their pain.  We are not doctors just people that have Chronic Pain.  I hope that you will find some information that will get you on the right path!  If you have any questions, or just want to talk, please call me at any time.  Not only can I help you, but you can help me by being there when I need you.  Even I have times when I get depressed.  I've found that it's very hard to deal with since I'm 44 and should have a family, and career.  Sometimes I look back at all the time I spent in Nursing School and wonder why this happened to me.  I think that being a nurse has helped me help other people. Even I have my up's and downs just like anyone else.  Sometimes we can not see what the reason for our illness/injury has caused in our life.  For me I think that if I can help one person, and they help someone, then it makes things bearable, or worth while.  I have to thank God for giving me the chance to help others, and hopefully they will become my friends.

Please call me when ever you need to talk, or just chat.  I'm always here to listen!  The one thing I've asked God to give me is FRIENDS.  I sure you have found out that the people that you have been friends for years seem to drop off the planet when you get Chronic Pain, but I've found that God makes up for that by sending me people like yourself.  Pain seems to strip away all the fronts that people put up, and what you get is the real person.  That is what you really want........a friend for ever!!!
